Why don't kids learn to smell at school?

Inspiring 999.999 kids by 2030

From a young age we learn to write lines, listen to music, paint landschapes and learn about touch through modeling clay or having fun with playdough. Yet, actively learning about one of the human body's most potent senses -the sense of smell- is strangely absent from most primary and secondary curricula around the world. Why?

Smells govern our emotions, trigger memories, help us relax... When we eat, approximately 80% of what we describe as taste is retro-nassal olfaction or smell.

Using pioneering art to inspire kids

SSK developed a pioneering way to make smell visible, this approach makes it easier to teach something that is invisible yet so potent. We want to use our innovative approach to drive positive impact around the world by offering free workshops to primary & secondary schools.

I love cookies, especially the chocolate ones. These ones? Not so much; so don't worry, we won't do anything funky with them and they'll probably go stale ...
